Just a Little About Me….

 

    I learned how to decorate cakes from a young age.  I grew up in a family that loved to cook and it was passed along to me as well.  Nothing is better than a Peyton Thanksgiving dinner!  My Grandma Peyton was the reason for all this.  She used to work for a catering company and decorated a lot of cakes and she was the one who first put a bag of icing in my hands.
     Once you have it I guess you never lose it, I had done a few things here and there, but I have just recently (within the past 2 years) began decorating a lot of cakes.  I love challenges and it has become my creative outlet.
     I am a NICU nurse, so this is something I do in my spare time. My husband and I have been married for 5 years now and we are the parents to 2 precious wiener dogs.  Well, the precious thing is a little stretch!  Dutchess is a rescue dog, so she is a bit temperamental at times, and Bruno well he is a ninja dog, just ask my friends!

     I love our little family, which is now growing.  We are expecting our first baby in January 2011!  For now my husband and I are enjoying our time together and trying to get ready for Miss. Allie.  We really enjoy traveling and try to get involved in activities together like golf and tennis. I hope you enjoy my blog, it’s just a little piece of me!
